Malis offers typical Khmer cuisine and a unique, upscale dining experience. The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere that welcomes its visitors to what seems like a culinary vacation.Last week Kiko and I had the wonderful opportunity to dine at Malis and we had a great time and an unforgettable experience. The restaurant set up is lovely. Staff is excellent. Bora and Nyla served our table and we were very content with their service.
If it is your first time and you are finding it a little challenging to select something from their extensive menu, don’t hesitate to ask for assistance from staff members or Ms. Sao the general manager. She is courteous, friendly, warm and forthcoming. Her elegance is reflected all around the beautiful setting of the restaurant.
In our case we had a set menu perfect for newcomers in Khmer cuisine. Each plate was delicious with just the right amount of spice and very well presented.
Scallop with Green Peppercorn
Mango and Smoked Fish Salad
Bamboo Shoot Soup with Smoked Fish
Pro Hok Ktis with Vegetables
Steamed Rice in Lotus Leaves
Bor Bor Palm Fruit with Yellow Beans Malis receives a lot of visitors so remember to call and reserve a table. I highly recommend Takeo sausages as starter. They are ridiculously delicious.
