EXPAT IN CAMBODIA | VILLA ROMONEA – KEP-SUR-MER.

wp-image-709775384jpgLast weekend we drove down to Kep with a group of friends. After 3 Weeks in France and a long haul flight with a toddler, a peaceful weekend away sure came in handy.

We stayed at Villa Romonea. A stunning house tucked away in a quiet location overlooking the sea. The villa has 4 double rooms and 2 twin rooms easily accommodating up to 12 guests. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and the beds are comfortable. The property has a tennis court, a 6 hole golf driving range and a saltwater infinity pool.

Breakfast is Included in the room rate. Lunch and dinner can be prepared at an extra cost. Alternatively guests are invited to prepare their own meals. The kitchen is fully functional with all the necessary equipment.

The team at Villa Romonea is very friendly and efficient. Mr. Stefan the manager is always accessible and hands on. His priority is to ensure guests are comfortable and enjoying their stay.
Kep being the province of crabs, our Italian friend Marisa offered to cook for us Spaghetti con granchio. I mean, who can say NO to that ! …and here she is haggling with crab vendors.

The crab Market is worth a visit. It is interesting to see local vendors go about their business. I also learnt how to distinguish male from female crabs, those that have more flesh and those that don’t and how to tell whether or not they are fresh.

Despite the storm, we had an amazing weekend. If you are looking for a peaceful chill out hideaway I highly recommend Villa Romonea . For more information and bookings, check out their website.
