When flying long haul, I always want to pick a company I can count on to make my experience as comfortable as possible. Over many years, I have found that Qatar Airways is unbeatable not only in terms of airfare (depending on route), but also when it comes to products and services that make life easier, and make travel stress-free for their clients.
As a mother, convenience in travelling with children and infants is at the top of my priority list. Thanks to the interactive play areas at Hamad International Airport, I have one less thing to worry about. My boy and I were able to kill eight hours of layover there like champions at the airport. He enjoyed running around and going down the slides that are part of the large-scale bronze sculptures by the famous Tom Otterness. No wonder he was snoozing in no time after we boarded our next flight!
The airline’s Al Maha Services for transit is always reliable, especially for passengers who need assistance. My mother gets overwhelmed in big airports, so we never hesitate booking the Al Maha Gold Transit Service for her. The service includes being picked up by a hostess from the aerobridge/aircraft with a personalised name board; assisted at the security and transfer desk; and escorted to either the Al Maha Lounge (if included in the booking) or straight to the boarding gate. (For those interested, kindly note that Al Maha Services has to be booked at least 24 hours prior to travel.)I find the ground staff at Hamad International Airport ever helpful, friendly, and most importantly knowledgeable.
Last but not least, who doesn’t mind a little extra luggage allowance when planning a trip? Thanks to my Qatar Airways privilege card, I can carry up to 46 kilograms. I basically carry all I want.
With that said, vacation mode is officially on!
I have never flown via Qatar Airways! But damn – 46 kg sounds nice. I’d be bringing ALL THE THINGS I WANT! All the outfits I can pack!
