EXPAT IN THE PHILIPPINES | THE WHOLESOME TABLE IN SALCEDO VILLAGE, MAKATI.

One of the many reasons we love Salcedo village is its proximity to cozy cafes, bars and restaurants.

The Wholesome Table, a restaurant that serves food made only from fresh, natural and organic ingredients is just a few blocks away from our condo. Two years ago when we had just moved to Manila and still settling in, we would frequent here every other day. It was and still is one of our favourite places for a quick healthy bite. My favourite corner is their gluten free, guilt free, mouth watering pastry section.

My son has a sweet tooth and secretly, so do I. To celebrate his first day of school break I decided to treat him to his favourite chocolate muffin and hot chocolate drink. As I watched him devour that poor muffin I thought of Charles M. Schulz’s quote, “All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt”.
