Salcedo Village is flourishing in the food scene with its varied lineup of coffee shops, bars, and cute little hole-in-the wall eateries. La Crêperie is yet another addition to one of my favorite places to eat in the neighborhood.
With a high ceiling, elegant chandeliers, unobstructed large windows, and long taupe curtains, La Crêperie’s interior setup is the very definition of modern chic with just the right amount of rustic charm.Even though they have a choice of delectable dishes in their a la carte menu, what I absolutely love about this French-inspired cafe are their savory galettes and sweet crêpes. Drop by for a visit and try one of my favorites: Super Complete. The buckwheat crêpe topped with ham, gruyere cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and egg is simple yet delicious. It’s a versatile quick fix that you can have either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Salcedo Village being a small business district at the heart of Makati City, the restaurant tends to be a tad busy during weekdays especially at lunch hour. For some quiet time, I love swinging by in the evening for a relaxed dinner out, which gives me a good excuse to squeeze in a glass of wine or three from their extensive wine list. I also love heading there for weekend brunch when my son can tag along and together we can satisfy our sugar cravings with sweet and sinful crêpes.
