EATING OUT IN FLORENCE | CULINARIA DE GUSTIBUS BISTRO.

The vintage objects artfully displayed and Giampiero Bini’s awe-inspiring portraits lining the walls made this hidden gem a warm and inviting place.

My friend and I spent the first ten minutes staring in silence at the beautiful portraits of women, lost in their different facial expressions, taking in every detail as we sipped Prosecco we did not order for.
What was meant to be a simple lunch out with a friend ended up being a fine-dining experience. I was blown away by their delicious food! Their crispelle alla Fiorentina is to die for. If you love artichokes, be sure to try their sformatino di ricotta e carciofi su crema di pecorino, which is out of this world. And if you have some space left for dessert (you should save some, it’ll be worth it), go for their exquisite panna cotta alla vaniglia.

Andrea the owner is kind, amicable, and always has a keen eye for his guests. Despite living in these tough times in the midst of a global pandemic, he continues to run his classic little Italian restaurant with passion, friendliness, and a dash of Italian humor.

Maybe it was our lucky day, maybe they do serve complementary prosecco everyday. Who knows? It was an unexpectedly good complementary drink and a generous gesture from the host. It definitely made our outing start on a sweet and sparkling note!
