SHOPPING FOR FURNITURE AND HOME DECORS AT RED HEIRLOOMS IN MALATE, MANILA.

One thing that people omit to tell you is that: when you are planning to get married, there comes a time you may have to fight over which furniture to buy, or where to place it in the house. Even worse is when you and your significant other have contrasting tastes.

After our 10 years together, my husband and I have finally figured out how to peacefully shop for home decor without strangling each other. Although we may not always agree with each other’s perspectives, we have discovered that sharing and listening to each other’s visions helps in choosing the perfect piece of furniture that represents our combined sensibilities. Meditation before going out for shopping also helps.  Read more

LETS TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH

MOLDIVIt’s 2:57 a.m. and I’ve been tossing and turning in bed. I really should quit that late afternoon coffee. I’m so tempted to grab my favorite Maasai blanket and turn on the TV, but on second thought, I grab a glass of water and turn to my blog and emails. Read more

There is so much beauty around us—beauty that we MUST preserve so that the future generation can also enjoy it. Read more

MY YOGA JOURNEY | PART 1.

PSX_20180428_115058
I remember my very first yoga class. It was in Colombo, Sri Lanka, nine years ago, with my good friend Haissa. I can’t recall what prompted us to join the class but yes, one morning, we found ourselves looking at our toes, bum up, fingers wide spread, navel to spine, doing our very first downward facing dog at a local Hatha Yoga Institute.
