My husband wanted to take our son to a beach he used to frequent with his parents when he was a little boy. So, one fine afternoon, we set off to visit The white sandy beach of Rosignano in Livorno. Read more

ETHIOPIA | ADDIS ABABA TRAVEL DIARY.
Africa is made up of 54 countries and out of all these fully recognized sovereign states I am not very proud to say I have only visited 2; Uganda and Tanzania. My excuse is traveling around Africa is not as cheap. Leaving miles away from home and visiting only once a year leaves me with no choice but to dedicate every single second of my time to my family. PHILIPPINES | CHRISTMAS AT BOHOL BEACH CLUB IN PANGLAO, BOHOL.
Alexandra Stoddard once said, “When you leave a beautiful place, you carry it with you wherever you go”. That is exactly what happened to me with Panglao, an island in the north Bohol Sea. Read more
EXPAT IN THE PHILIPPINES | MOUNT PALIPARAN AND TUNGTONG FALLS.
I’m lucky to be part of a group called “Halo Halo”, a community of women in Metro Manila who hike together. We’re not actually exclusive—the group also invite men to join us in our hikes—but we’re made up of mostly women from different corners of the world and of varying ages and backgrounds. Once in a while, we get together and discover local trails. We take these organized hiking trips as a great opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila, connect, network, and share our different experiences while living here in the Philippines.
Dear Mila, If you get a chance to read this, THANK YOU for being the force behind “Halo Halo”, organizing these hikes and helping us discover the Philippines one mountain at a time.
Last week, we went to Mount Paliparan, located at Barangay Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal. We left Metro Manila at 5:30 a.m. and arrived at the trailhead just a few minutes shy of 7:00 a.m. There, we registered ourselves at the Barangay Hall, had a short briefing on what to expect, then set off with our assigned guides. A CLOUDY DAY ON THE BEACH IS STILL A DAY ON THE BEACH.
Took these photos on our last day in La Maddalena, Sardinia. The weather was cloudy and somber, as if the island was just as sad to bid us goodbye.

EXPAT IN THE PHILIPPINES | HIKING UP MOUNT BINACAYAN AND WAWA DAM.
Our day trip to Mount Binacayan in the province of Rizal, was as spontaneous as we could get. It took just a few hours, but it turned out to be the perfect excuse to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It was therapeutic, no doubt. The night before the hike, the organizer drops a quick line on our WhatsApp group chat and asks participants to bring gloves. That’s when it hit me that I had no idea where we were going or what to expect. But I quickly set aside my worries. Before I sleep, I thought to myself, Hiking is the answer; who cares what the question is? My initial apprehension was eventually replaced with excitement for another mountain trail! Read more
FIVE THINGS TRAVELLING HAS TAUGHT ME.
WE NEED TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF MOTHER EARTH.
This one is crucial. The sad reality is many of us who live in and travel to the best places in the world often fail to appreciate and take care of them. It breaks my heart going back to a place only to find it worse than I remember it. If we don’t take care of our natural resources, years from now, there won’t be a reason to travel anymore. There is so much beauty around us—beauty that we MUST preserve so that the future generation can also enjoy it. Read more

Waking up at 4 a.m. was a challenge but I still made it on time for our 5 a.m. meet-up at San Antonio Plaza, Makati. By 5:30 a.m., everyone had arrived, registered, and filled up two mini vans. We were finally set for the trip! Read more
