Koh Samui and Bangkok, Thailand
Thailand is always a good idea! Together with a bunch of other mums, I just booked a yoga retreat in Koh Samui. I’m so excited to be combining the two things I’m passionate about: yoga and travel. Apart from practicing our downward facing dogs, we’ll be exploring the beautiful island of Koh Samui, of course! We’re also planning a three-day stay in Bangkok before heading to the retreat. No doubt this ultimate ‘’Mums Just Wanna Have Fun’’ trip is gonna be an amazing experience. I can’t wait!

Doha, Qatar
I’m a loyal Qatar Airways frequent flyer. Oh well, not as frequent as I would love to, but let’s just say, Qatar Airways is my airline of choice for long haul flights. Here Is Why I Love Flying With Qatar. This time around, my family and I are considering maximizing our 24-hour stopover to get a chance to experience Doha via the food, a stroll in the souks, and maybe a sunset cruise as we soak in its remarkable modern architecture and anything else the pearl of Qatar has to offer its guests. We’ll make it short but sweet.

Sicily, Italy
Sicily has been on my travel bucket-list for the longest time. The place, for me, has the full package when it comes to culture, history, scenery, gastronomy, shopping, climate, and—you guessed it—the vino! We’re planning to spend one week here and fit in as many things as possible. On our to-do list are the following: over indulge in the local cuisine; lounge on as many beaches as possible; explore some of Sicily’s famous ancient ruins; drink wine (lots of it!); and finally, taste authentic cannoli because if you didn’t know, Sicily introduced cannoli to the world. Great plan, right?

Lyon and Bordeaux, France
Each year I look forward to going to France. Last year, my family and I went on A Road Trip To The Col of Galibier and had an amazing picnic overlooking the most magnificent mountainscape. This year, I’m looking forward to spending more time outdoors with my son, discovering Lyon’s spectacular green spaces and parks, with Parc de la Tête d’or (“Park of the Golden Head”) on top of our list. I’m also excited to discover the famous wine region, Bordeaux. As long as we have wine, the holidays will be fine.

Muscat, Oman
This will definitely be an adventure as I know very less about Oman. But I think one can’t go wrong heeding the Dalai Lama’s sage advice: “Once a year go somewhere you have never been before.” I’m up for the challenge of discovering the treasures that this port city on the Gulf of Oman hides. And of course, I will share with you whatever I find!

Palawan, Philippines
The Philippines has more than 7,000 islands. We’ve been expat living here for over a year now, and believe it or not, we’ve only been to two of them: Boracay and Siargao. Well, that must change! Not all the islands here are accessible, but there are those that are must-sees. This year, I’m excited to experience Palawan’s pristine beaches, lakes and lagoons.

East or west, home is best! Last year, given the number of errands I had to run, I was left with very limited time to explore my beautiful country. From white sandy beaches of the coastal region Mombasa to the rolling hills of Maasai Mara, Kenya has tons of beautiful, breathtaking places to visit. This year, I hope the stars align so that I can swing by for a couple of weeks. I miss watching the sunset in the wild. The sky changing its colors as the sun hides behind acacia trees is surreal. I also miss that fresh earthy smell when the rain falls on dry soil. I can’t wait to come home!

Where are you going in 2018 ?
